Q: hello well i dropped my cellphone in water.. and now it doesnt work i dont know what to do .. to make it work my cellphone is a SAMSUNG U740( ALIAS) its by VERIZON WIRELESS I got my cellphone on january does the phone have warranty??????? WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT THANKS.. oooooo and i dont wanna tell my parents their gonna kill mee... HELP!!! and thanks and everytime it turns on it goes crazyy it starts showing up letters as if iam pressing the phone but iam not.. it does it by itself
A: I'm gonna assume that it was powered on when you dropped it, in which case, I'm sorry to say, it is probably trash now. Basically, what happened was the water caused power to surge across the circuitry of the device in ways it was not supposed to. This probably fried some parts of it. You can try leaving it turned off, opening it up as much as you can (ie. take off the case, take battery out, prop open any flaps for memory cards, etc) and leaving it in front of a fan for a while. if there's ANY water still inside it, turn it off, and take out the battery, you can be doing more damage to it. If that doesn't work, then yeah, it's time to get a new phone, sorry.
