Q: I'm trying to copy some photos onto a disc, tryed a video disk 1st, and it said that either there isn't enough room on it (which can't be true cos it's brand new) and to be sure that I have the right disc inserted. So I tryed an audio disc, and it doesn't even notice that it's in the drive, which I was kind of expecting...help? lol What type of disk should I use?
A: You should use a CD-R not a CD-RW disk. They're much more reliable. Use software such as Record Now!, Nero, or Creative/Roxio for best results. Choose "data disk" not photo disk or video disk. Again, it's more reliable. Are you trying to make a slideshow? Then make it from PowerPoint, and then put the powerpoint.ppt file on the disk, and include the Powerpoint viewer with the disk. That's the simplest way. The PPT viewer is a free download from microsoft. So if you want to create the ppt file in OpenOffice.org, then that's OK too. You don't need to use these steps if the computer you'll be showing the Photos on is Windows XP or Vista. The Photo and Fax Preview program runs essentially like a slideshow.
