Q: when I press "scan menu" I go down to the "scan to computer" option. and then it says, "Refer to the device documentation to troubleshoot." what does that mean? how do I scan it on to the computer? please help! I always pick best answer.
A: This simply means "read the manual". I'd suggest that you uninstall the scanner software, THEN read the documentation (many scanners require that they are NOT plugged in until you have installed the drivers), then reinstall the software. It will probably ask you to plug the scanner in during this process. If that does not work, HP are pretty good at technical support for their products.
