Q: I have a 400 dollar everx labtop and a lexmark copyer/scanner/printer and every time I plug in the USB cord to the lexmark my computer freezes. And one day I opened up the lexmark program without pluging in the USB cord and my labtop froze. Why is this happening? I don't download a lot of stuff to my labtop and I scan my labtop. Also sometimes a thing pops up saying i'm low on memory. How can I fix the freezing problem?
A: Have you installed the correct drivers for the device? Even if you're computer is operating near its maximum memory capacity plugging in the device should not cause a permanent freeze. Also, this may be obvious, but check the compatibility of the program and the device with your computer. Good luck!
