I want to learn how to use my HP scanner?

Q:

A: What model of HP scanner is it? If you're used to the regular Flat-Bed scanner,( Lay the document, photo, etc., face down on the glass), and this is a Sheet-Fed unit, it may throw you. (Sheet-Fed unit looks kinda' like a typewriter.) Turn the side you wish to print AWAY from you, and insert it into the scanner. Most of the time this style is part of a multi-function machine. Printer/Scanner/Copier, or Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax Machine. If you haven't installed the drivers off of the CD that came with it, do so now. Just open the CD/DVD drive tray, and put the disk in. Give it a few seconds, and a window will pop-up with instructions. Follow them. After it's done, it may want you to re-start your computer. The following instructions are for WinXP. Win Vista may be similar. Mac? Dunno'! 1.Press the power button on the scanner. Sometimes you just press, and let go, sometimes you press and hold it for a few seconds until the Power On lamp, lights up. (Then let go! lol!) 2.If it's a flat-bed scanner, open the cover, lay your document, photo, etc., on the glass screen face down. Line the top left corner of this document, to the top left corner of the scanner glass screen. Your User Guide will have more info. If it's a sheet-fed scanner, as stated turn the face of the document/photo/etc. away from you. Place it in the tray feed, and gently move the two guides until they touch the document. Not real tight, but lightly snug, is how you want the guides. 3.Click on Start 4.Hover your mouse cursor over All Programs. (Should be a 'highlighted' pop-up, stating, 'New Programs Installed', anyway) Look for the manufacturers name of this scanner. Move your mouse cursor to it, and see if there's a 'tree' that has Scanner listed. Click on it. 5.A window will pop-up with a menu in it. At this point, it's best to find the User Guide that should have come with it. If you can't find it, or it didn't come with it, a User Guide plus a Help Guide will have been installed from that CD.
