Q: I am trying to scan from the psc 1315. It gives me a stupid default size of 8.5 x 11.69 (or something different than 11). Default is 8.5 by 11, letter size. But HP just does not want to be user friendly. I try to open the HP Director as there is no other way to change the default size (apparently according to the Help). But it does not open. I reloaded twice the whole program and it odes not work. Even the "Digital Imaging Monitor" gives you an option to click to open Director. Yes, I click but Director does not open. What?
A: uninstall all the programs that the cd contained and go to the hp website. go to support, type in the model of your printer and look for software download. it will have the latest software with better enhanced features so it might alot more simpler than what you have. download the program and this should resolve the issue.
