Scanner Question?

Q: I have a Dell All In One- I only use it for the scanner and printer however. When I scan something, it has a purple tint to it. No matter what it is I scan. It also has, right in the middle of the scanner, a purple splotch (on the image, after I import it). I import the file using Adobe Photoshop ver. 7. Is there a way to get rid of this purple tint/splotch? Oh and by the way, I just bought this scanner. It's not six months old. It's been doing this since I got it. No it's not under warranty... I wish it was. Isn't there ANYTHING I can do to save it? It's brand new!

A: If it's not under warranty then you'll have to pay to get this fixed and it can only be repaired back at the manufacturer - Repair Cost can be considered PROHIBITIVE.! Best solution I'd suggest is only obtain the items you'll be using. Purchase a mid-range printer that is toner based. Put your Printer requirements in and an HP Printer will be suggested. (This should be considered a throw away just like the All-in-One) URL: http://www.hp.com/sbso/buyguides/advisor_scanners.html I Hope this Helps!
