Installing the scanner in hp psc 1210 all-in-one series?

Q: My computer recently got formatted and I was trying to re-install my all-in-one back on my computer. I downloaded the driver off the hp site and when I installed it, only the printer was installed. I couldn't get the scanner to work. Regardless whether I just pressed the 'Scan' button on the scanner or went to HP photo and image directer and clicked scan there. It doesn't even show up in the My Computer > Scanners and Cameras section. Does anyone else have this problem? How do I fix this? Oh and whenever I boot up my computer, this Windows Installer window pops up and has a progress bar. This happens every single time I turn my pc on and everytime external devices/hardware is plugged in/turned on. Can I get rid of this? I know it's possible to do this without the CD. I've done it once before. But I forgotten how. Any ideas? Thank you for the answers so far. I'll try the Full Solution Driver later. Regarding the Windows Installer, it comes up on every boot, whether or not any external devices are plugged in and turned on.

A: Download the HP Full Solution Software Driver -166.14Mb ------------------------------------------------------------------ The driver you have installed was incomplete thats why most probably the other features doesnt work. You could update your printers drivers by windows prompt or start manually. Turned-off the external devices so the system wont read it when you boot up.
