Q: I have photoshop 6 - I click to resize. I change image size, I change every damned thing but still my pic is 3.04 meg. HELP!!!!! I just want to send around 20 images in an email and with the old fool proof scanner and glossy pics I had no problem! Any advice welcome. Thank you. Ah! I wasn't aware of a change of setting in the camera. It's Canon Ixus, and too bloody scared to press any buttons! See, thing is - I downloaded the 30 day trial of Photoshop because on Yahoo answers lots of people reckon that it is relatively easy to resize. Yep, I certainly have the option to save as jpeg (I always would) but no option to save as any sort of condensed pic for email
A: photoshop should have an option to save as jpeg and save as e-mail size. (200-600k). If not then try another program, Microsoft office 2003 has Picture manager that has this option, or download a free photo program from www.filehippo.com that can do this. Windows Photo Gallery (included in Vista/ in xp I think?) has an e-mail option that can re-size your photos. Photoshop is a very advance program, if you like to spend hours touching up/ making layers etc it a very good program. But if you just need to do the basics then Photoshop is overcomplicated for your needs. Picasa 2 and Gimp are both free and have all the basic functions you would need for everyday tasks like sizing photos for e-mail. more info: http://www.videojug.com/interview/viewing-your-digital-photos#how-do-i-resize-my-digital-photos "You can use Adobe Photo Shop and use the image size command,"
