HELP PLEASE i HAVE A LEXMARK 2800 SCANNER IT SCANNES GLOSS PHOTOS GREAT BUT MATT ONES SHOW ALL LINES AND DOTS?

Q: I SCAN THE PHOTOS AT 300 DPI AND HAVE ONLY JUST STARTED SCANNING SO ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED

A: There is nothing wrong with the scanner. As a rule you should only scan glossy prints as matte prints usually have texture. This texture is being picked up by the scanner, and that's the reason why you are getting the lines and dots. This will be exaggerated since you are scanning at 300dpi.
