Q: If your printer has a scanner, how do you copy documents(text) onto Microsoft Office Word 2007, as a readable document and not as a photo image? This next question asks what do you do when Microsoft Office Word can not convert your scanned document photo into a text document, and when you right click to copy, it say its already been copied. So when you go to Microsoft word to put it there, another window pops up and says if you copy this photo document, It will not be able to be read?.........When I right click these photos under MY PICTURES, theres no option to Copy,or Select All when I RIGHT CLICK on the scanned image. If these photo images are already copied, how come when I go to CONTROL PANEL click OPEN, to open them, the documents available under MY PICTURES are all there Claiming to be already copied..... I go to Microsoft Word to and click the same OPEN, and then MY PICTURES, and none of the pictures can be found? Is there another option for me?
A: Basic scanning software will take a picture, that is true, However what you seek to do is create a text document out of your scanned document. What you will need is a software package with "Optical Character Recognition" and that will give you what you want. Many exist and the better/ more you pay for it usually the better the quality of the product. I use OmniPage which works well for me. I Hope this Helps!
