A: I currently use ccleaner. When you are in the initial startup pane the are 2 buttons at the bottom. The one on the bottom left asks if you want to analyze the mess. The one on the right bottom commits to the repair. Same thing applies to the registry window. I have not had any bad thing happen while using the program. But answer yes to the backup questions anyhow. LOL
