Im really scared! Now what should I do? Please dont send me links that have viruses or something on them and please dont send another trojan scanner and remover because alot of them have viruses so only send me stuff that works please! LOL. Thank You So Much!!!!!! Bye!
A: If you're infected then it is because you do not have sufficient protection installed on your computer. Get rid of that Norton Junk! Norton is terrible. As a professional IT consultant... Can't count the number of customers who've brought their systems in running at a snails' pace. Removing Norton alone speeds up the PC and internet 50% or more. Norton should be the definition of bloat. Many programs require processes to be pre-loaded or they just will not run, or won't run correctly. Norton antivirus alone has 9 running processes, not counting an additional 3 that it pops open when its update service is running.--I don't use Norton anymore, for just this reason. I'm an AVG fan because it just works, is fairly light on resources, and the network edition is cheaper than any alternatives and does it all (AV, Spyware, firewall). Get the FREE AVG its all you'll need... It is the well-known antivirus protection tool. AVG Free is available free of charge to home users for the life of the product. Rapid virus database updates are available for the lifetime of the product, thereby providing the high level of detection capability that millions of users around the world trust to protect their computers. AVG Free is easy to use and will not slow your system down (low system resource requirements. Highlights include automatic update functionality, the AVG Resident Shield, which provides real-time protection as files are opened and programs are run, free Virus Database Updates for the lifetime of the product, and AVG Virus Vault for safe handling of infected files. http://free.grisoft.com/ What ever you decide to use... Run it in safe mode! Windows Safe Mode is a way to boot up the Windows operating system in order to let you troubleshoot or run administrative and diagnostic tasks. When it is booted into Safe Mode the operating system only loads the minimum software that is required for the operating system to work. Only basic video drivers are loaded so your programs may look different than normal. First turn off System Restore... Operation: Restart your computer. Immediately after "Starting Windows..." information is displayed, press the F8 key on your keyboard. Select the Safe Mode option from the menu using the arrow keys. Then press Enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode. Now run your anti-virus or program you want... when done reboot normal... Turn system restore back on. All Done!! For Spyware problems... Among others, SUPERAntiSpyware found an infected file deep in my Windows system called IPV6Mons, a trojan downloader. None of my other programs had detected it. The interesting part about IPV6Mons.dll is that a file of the same name is also used by Windows itself, just with a different content and in a different location. That is why the other programs hadnt picked it up. It is installed by the trojan BZub. SUPERAntiSpyware comes with one neat extra feature, Safe Boot. Its a little utility that, for starting in Safe Mode, makes pressing the F8 key during booting unnecessary. You check if you want to reboot in normal mode, safe mode, safe mode with network, or safe mode directory service repair. Then you just click reboot, and it does exactly that. No lengthy navigation. After the reboot, you reset it to normal mode so that the next start-up will be in normal mode. I like it. Or course, I will not get rid of my other anti-spyware programs. They all complement each other. http://www.download.com/SUPERAntiSpyware-Free-Edition/3000-8022_4-10523889.html?tag=lst-0-6 This cleaner took out over 200 pieces of spyware on my laptop. Increased the laptops speed. Speeded up shut down to less than 10 seconds. TRY IT! No realtime blocking. which i dont like anyway since that usually slows your computer down. Have a nice day and...Good Luck! ^PcGuru^
