Q: Hello, I have posted the question before but I need more information on being able to perform this task thank you. Every time I turn my printer/scanner/photocopier on, a photo program comes up. Is there a way to disable this action? I just want to switch the hardware on with out that particular software showing up.
A: I am not sure about the specific scanner your using, but that is normal with many scanners. You must look for a option or setting that calls any graphic or word program that is set to by default. Your scanner will bring up either it's own program to import the scan document or some program you have availlable in windows. Go to the help section of your printer and scanner. Using also a manual either on your CD or downloaded from device's website. To see how to disable the loading of software to import your scanned document. You may have it set somewhere to come on when printer/scanner runs. Check down at the taskbar where your printer/scanner may present as a startup program.
