Q: I have a scanner (Plustek Optic Slim 2400) (not 2400+). I have windows Vista as well. And in a previous installation I was able to succesfully use my scanner, after a long process of finding out how to make it work with Vista. I think I used Compatability thingy in the control panel. I was able to scan images as well. But unfortunately I had to reformat and no matter what I do, Image Folio always crashes and every program that I use will not work. ANy ideas? I need help. And the company said as well that they have no intention on updating the driver... And also, I will not install xp as it will be ridiculous to have only ONE program in it and everytime I need to scan, I have to dual boot and go to Xp...
A: You have to log in as the adminstrator and right click on the program before installing. In the properties you can select compatibility and make your choice for how you want it to load.
