A: The biggest factor could be the size of your art, so the scanner would have to accommodate as much. Secondly, you may want to consider any software that is included to determine if it has any use for you. Then I think I would consider reading some reviews from sources you're considering purchasing from. Look at the factory warranties, and then consider your budget. I've used Umax and Canons at home with some higher end scanners at work.
