Q: Even at 200 dpi, I'm getting white specs. Turning down the resolution lower than 200 creates a different problem...the detail in my art gets lost. Any suggestions to fix this problem would be much appreciated!
A: Try cleaning the glass on your scanner. What kind of art is it? What's the paper like? Can you post an image? You may end up scanning it in and cleaning up digitally with something like GIMP - http://www.gimp.org.
