Q: I removed PaperPort 8.0 SE software from 'Program files' under hard (C ) drive and also trashed the CD that came with my old Printer. Now as my new HP printer is not able to scan (I posted about the problem here about one week ago) I tried to delete Program from 'Add/Remove Program' in the control panel. The system prompts that Installation/removal wizard terminated, and asking to install CD. As I don't have the CD and could not download the specific one, I am not able to remove the PaperPort 8.0 SE softaware, which is possibly conflicting with the new HOPaperPort 8.0 SE software HP printer scanner software. Even now I can't install the HP printer software and don't see setup.exe file when I open the contents. If some one can help me please
A: It sounds like you manually deleted the program in the Program Files folder. try googling "Glary Utilitys" and use it to scan and fix your registry and it may clear out the PaperPort proplems. Hope that helps.
