Q: I have an HP 3970 scanner. It was working fine but I moved it from one area on my desk to another. I plugged it back in, and now I get the message that there is communication problem and to check the connections. I have unplugged and replugged. Shut off my machine etc. It still will not work. I cannot get the lights on or the ribbon to work at all. (The manual recommended holding down the scanner and copy buttons together to get the ribbon to move) Could I have killed it by unplugging it? Any suggestions on how to fix the problem.?
A: maybe it is grounded...
