Q: On my Canon Pixma MX700when I scan my docs they come out very large size eg 20 page text=10MB. Can I reduce? This is a simple black and white 20 page doc that comes out to 10+ MB So I can't email because file is too large.
A: That's because the docs are actually photographs of text, your scanner is a form of camera so naturally the scanner scans the whole page not just the text itself. What you need to do now if you just want the text is use Optical Character Recognition software to convert your documents to just text so they'll be nice and small again.
