Q: I connected a CANON multifunction MP450 ( scanner / copier / printer ) machine to a computer that uses Microsoft VISTA as its operating system. During the installation of the CANON software there was a message regarding compatibility. So I downloaded the VISTA compliant drivers from CANON's download site. Still the scanning function does not work. What could be the problem/s and corresponding resolution/s ? Thank you.
A: Suggest you download the VISTA compliant drivers first then put the downloaded files in the CANON folder. Then install the MP450 software using the CD that came with the machine. Since the downloaded software is more current, it will be used instead of the one in the CD. Have a nice day !
