Q: I have all the software but when I push the button and it's lit,nothing happens.
A: I would have said the first answer,but if that doesn't work I'd go with this really odd one,but it does happen. Take it from someone that has a lot of different devices and a lot of different cables running around his computer. With so many USB cables lately,even running to my camera, it's easy to mix them up unless you label the ends of both so you know which one to plug in or which one to unplug. So check to make sure it's plugged in,follow the cable from the back of the scanner to see that it's actually plugged in. I want to know when manufacturers will start making cables in all different colors or with the name on the cable,like scanner cable,printer cable,etc.! Then if that is it,label them with a label maker so it never happens again.
