Q: the scanner is a dx7450 but the software it came with wont work
A: I'm hoping you're from the UK -- if not click the Epson logo in the left corner and change your country... However, here's the link for the drivers for your all-in-one -- http://esupport.epson-europe.com/ProductHome.aspx?lng=en-GB&data=lkuCfcvA9czvYMyYhhZvmasvhhFBgOuCy+y3EjpBnpEU003D&tc=6 I strongly suggest you remove what drivers, etc. that you do have installed and start fresh with the ones on this link. You will see that there are drivers AND SOFTWARE for scanning, editing, etc for your machine. And, FYI, there are other programs that will utilize your device as long as you 'point' the program there.. AbbyReader is a great OCR (and it's free) and if you go to Downloads.com and search for software, I'm sure you'll find other free software programs that will 'scan' or work with photos and documents.
