Q: I have an hp psc all-in-one 1200 printer, scanner and copier. The printer and the copier work but the scanner will not? Everytime i try to scan something it says An error occurred communicationg with the scannign device. Please ensure it is connected properly. Okay, but what do i do to get it connected? Help is VERY much needed. Thanks!
A: Unplug printer from PC UNINSTALL the software totally Reinstall the software from the CD, connecting ONLY when prompted to do so. This should refresh the drivers link to the printer. Also make sure you install BOTH the printer and the SCANNER driver sections, they are different. It's really 2 USB devices in 1 box,
