Q: i did a free scan with ad-aware it installed the free scan on my computor now i want to get rid of it becuase everytime i power oon the laptop it always pops up its not in the add/remove program either how do i get rid of it?
A: Try Start > All Programs > Ad-Aware If that does not work, try re-installing, you may be given the option to repair or uninstall. If all else fails you could try a fix by going to Start then Run. Now type in 'msconfig' without the quotes. Open the Startup Tab. Scroll down the list and untick anything relating to Ad-Aware. Now click apply, click ok. Re-boot your computer. Eventually when your computer boots you will be presented with a new pop-up window - tick do not show again. Good luck. wdw
