Q: Well, it has worked and worked when I bought it. It still copies and prints so I know it isn't a hardware issue. When I try to scan something it tells me that the scanner is not found. I've tried installing and reinstalling the software. I contacted HP support and they gave me directions to manually delete the printer files and then reinstall the software. It still didn't work. Does anyone else have this problem? Did you manage to get it working again?
A: Try unplugging (USB & power) and turning off the scanner. Let it sit for a minute and plug it back in and see what happens. Check your system preferences, your account, and make sure you are authorized to use everything.
