Q: I know how to open my scans but I only have open office on my computer and when I open the scan its to small to type on. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it, thanks.
A: When you scan a document be sure to check that you are scanning a DOCUMENT (as opposed to a picture). The scanner will scan at the proper setting to allow your OCR to convert it into editable text. Once scanned (depending on which software you are using) you may open the document with the scanner software or a program like Presto Page Manager. Look for a connection to an OCR or you may be allowed to drag and drop the scan onto an icon like Open Office and the OCR will kick in automatically. In any case... look for the OCR! Read IRIS... maybe?? It'll convert a scan into text.
