Q: I have a report I typed and I was wondering If it is possible to use a scanner to copy the paper onto the computer and then copy and past the report in microsoft word, and then make changes to it.
A: You won't be able to do this unless your scanner has OCR (Optical Character Reader) software. If it doesn't what you are doing is just creating an image of the report pages, the text is just going to be pixels, not text any more so you won't be able to edit it. It's like taking a photograph of the pages of your report: it's just a picture, not a document that can be edited.
