Q: My brothers a firefighter and he just recently became one, and i was wondering how i could listen in on the calls that they are going to. I basically want to listen into there walkies aha... but what do i need to do this? Is this a police scanner i know they are ilegal ahh so is that what i need or something else???
A: You can buy a scanner, they are legal. but you need to find out the frequencies your dept uses, just ask. But check to make sure they are still using the older style analog radios. my local police and fire depts are switching to digital radios and my old analog scanner wont work with them anymore.
