A: From the Canon website: Issue: ERROR: Error in scanner...(Code:201) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Solution: Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to ensure a secure connection Checking USB Connections You should disconnect and reconnect the USB cable at both ends to ensure there is a secure connection on the device side as well as the computer side. It may also be necessary to try a different USB port on the computer. Additionally, you may need to disconnect other USB devices, temporarily, in order to determine if a conflict exists. Note: Some printers have a type-A USB receptacle on the front to connect directly to a digital camera. The type-B receptacle, on the printer, will connect to the type-A receptacle on the computer with an A to B USB cable. Disconnect one end of the cable and then reseat it ensuring the cable is firmly seated into the USB port. If the USB cable is plugged into a hub instead of directly into the computer, try connecting the USB cable directly into the computer. Repeat step one to reseat the cable on the other end. If there is still no communication, then it may be necessary to try a different USB cable or a different port on the computer. Make sure the correct USB cable type is being used. Incorrect (A to A) USB Cable Correct (A to B) USB Cable
