Q:
A: There's a program called WinRar, which archives and divides a file into as many pieces as you want. You can make the pieces the maximum size for an email, and then send each one individually. The recipient then uses WinRar themself, to extract the file. WinRar claims it's not free, but after the 30 day trial, it still works. There are websites online that will host your file for free. Once you upload the file to them, they will give you a link where the file can be downloaded. You can pass along the link to anyone you want. The most popular one is Rapidshare.com They will hold the file for 90 days or until you delete it. (After you upload the file, they give you a link to delete it -- make sure you copy it down.) The size limit is 100MB, but there are other websites just like it that offer more. List of them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_one-click_hosters
