Q: i have an old canon scanner(n640p) which have parallel port and i connected it by usb cable adaptor to my notebook's usb hub,but my notebook reported this device is not connected!! so please inform me what can i do? (by the way this cable adaptor connected to my printer and it is work probably)
A: You cannot simply put a converter on it and expect it to work. It will not. Just connect it via the parallel port and it will work. No parallel port on a laptop? Bummer. New scanner time. Hope this helps.
