Q: Ok, so I've had this new HP photosmart printer/scanner for about a month (model C6250), and it's been working fine. But for some reason now, when I press the scan button, instead of it giving the list of options such as "scan to microsoft word" or "save scan" where it brings you to a window where you can edit the photo, it only gives the options "scan and reprint" and "scan to memory card". So, now, I'm trying to finish this project, but I need to scan these pictures and I'm like "QUE-CE Q'EST???" so somebody PLLEEEEAAASSE help me!!!
A: Driver issue.. Try to go to http://www.hp.com they click on support for printers/scanners type in C6250 and see if there is a newer driver for your device. If not... Then I would recommend 1. uninstalling your drivers and software for this printer. 2. unplung the printer 3. reboot the system 4. re-install the drivers and software 5. wait for the installer to tell you to connect the device again I've had this happen with my prior HP all-in-one.. That's how I had fixed the problem. If you continue to have problems then contact HP tech support.
