The question is ? can i install my copy of windows XP onto the Vista Machine.-- This will be the only way that i could inrtall 'Picture-it' on my Vista Machine by having XP on the same machine. Dave...Thanks.
A: something none of the others has mentioned that if you install the copy of xp from the computer you are giving to your grandchild then when you register it on your vista machine it will invlidate it on the other machine meaning you'll need a new copy. it was part of billybob's master plan that vista was to make a lot of the older hardware unuseable but the newer hardware used on the vista machines is'nt always compatable with any drives available for xp.he tried doing it when xp was introduced but they used drivers for hardware useable by win2000 and people wiyh older hardware found that win2ooo drivers would work with xp in some cases there by thwarting billybob's planned obseletion of pre xp hardware. you could do something really radical and get 1 of the linux distros and set up your dual boot free and use wine to run picture-it there by sticking it to billybob.
