Q: I have a Epson Stylus CX3700 printer which includes a scanner. The problem is that it doesn't work, all the usb cables are connected, I'm not sure if the scannner is even on, and why open epson scan from the start menu it says EPSON Scan cannot be started.
A: If it prints but doesn't scan, it may be installed incorrectly. (This happens with HPs, it could be a problem with Epsons, too.) To reinstall correctly, first disconnect the USB cable from the PC, then use Add/Remove programs to uininstall the driver. Then restart the PC, then re-install the software, only plugging in the USB cable when the installation software tells you to.
