Q: I bought a brand of ink called power max, they make cheap ink that is compatible with brand name printers such as hp, lexmark, and cannon. The printer I have is the Epson-RX680...The first cartridge i got from them worked great, the second cartridge however is saying "Ink Cartridges cannot be recognized. make sure ink cartridges are correctly installed." I know for a fact that the ink cartridges are correctly installed, and I can sit here and keep reinstalling it all day, that's not going to make it work. The company's costumer service runs by email and who knows how long before they get back to me. Does anyone have any advice that might lead to the solution to this problem?
A: There are known issues with the RX 680 and compatible cartridges. Because of the changes that Epson has made to their newer printers, many compatible brands won't work. I'd request a refund. CarrotInk's brand should work - here is a link: http://www.carrotink.com/Epson-Stylus-Photo-RX680-cartridges-category-Ink-51379-23127-Epson.htm
