I have a lexmark 2500 printer and I tried to refill the cartriges. can anyone help?

Q: When I refill the cartridges, the printer don't accept them as refilled cartridges.

A: These printer companies really have the market on this because they have installed sensors in the printer cartridges and once the ink level gets below a certain point (empty), you can no longer use them again. This is their way to prevent us consumers from using alternatives methods of saving a few bucks on refilling them and using them again. In order to get around this, as soon as your printer gives you any indication of the ink being low, take it in immediately and then it should work. Most all of the printer companies are doing this now and we all know when your printer says the ink is low, we can go another couple weeks at least, depending on how much you print...but if you want to take advantage of the cheap ink, take it in at the first signs of being low. Good Luck!!
