Q: I have a dell 922 all in one printer hooked to my dell desktop with window's xp. I have a laptop with window's vista that I want to hook to the dell printer over the network. Please tell me the steps to to that. Thank you in advance.
A: Go to printers on your desktop. Right click on your Dell Printer and choose sharing. Click share this printer and put Dell922 in the box. Once it is shared the vista Laptop should see it IF the computers are in the same workgroup. You can change that under Control Panel\System\Name Tab. A reboot will be required if you change the workgroup or name.
