What kind of printer makes prints less prone to running?

Q: I want to print some wedding invitations, but when I use my printer to print stuff, if liquid gets on the prints the ink runs very easily. What kinda (non-commercial) printer is best to prevent ink from running easily?

A: laser printers heat toner and fuse it to the page. they are cheaper, faster and sharper than inkjet. Inkjets are better for photos.
