Q: The printer is an HP Photosmart C4180 all-in-one. I couldn't type the rest because i only had 100 Characters available.
A: It sounds like the paper jam may have caused you head to misalign. If your heads are not aligned properly, the carriage will not seat like it needs to when you turn it off. Does it still print correctly? If it is not printing correctly (putting ink on the paper) and not shutting off. I would try a head alignment. Hope this works.
