Q: help!! Hi I bought a lexmark X75 printer used, after installing it i noticed that the ink needed replacement which i did..after putting in the recharged cartridges, and trying the test it stops and the the on/off light flashes all the time, plus the status light flashes 3 times pause and again 3 times can anyone tell me what is wrong,or how to fix it thanks
A: I went to the Lexmark website and this is what I found: Test the cartridges one by one and do the printer hardware test (refer to the relevant document for your printer) to establish which one is defective. The defective cartridge needs to be changed. If the power light on the printer is blinking, you may have a carrier stall. To check this: First unplug the printer. Move the cartridges to the left by hand. In order to do this, you need to grip the top of the carrier belt (a black/grey belt with cog-like teeth) and pull it towards the right-hand side of the printer. Once the cartridges have been moved across, you can clip them out. Try to print without the cartridges in the carrier. If you no longer have a carrier stall, put the cartridges back into the carrier and clip them into place. Sorry I couldn't be of maore help
