Q: When I added a compatible ink cartridge (non-Epsom) to my old Epsom Printer I was able to disconnect the printing status to allow it to print. Now using a Dell-compatible cartridge with a Dell printer I cannot find any way of doing this and it will not print - stating that it does not have a cartridge installed. Any clues?
A: This is very common among Dells. Many Dell printers simply will not accept compatible cartridges. In place of compatibles, I'd suggest trying remanufactured cartridges. Since these are actual Dell cartridges that have been cleaned and refilled, the chips are recognized by almost all Dell printers.
