Q: I want to know if I can take copies with a copy machine without closing its lid, because I want to make sure that I don't break the printer.
A: yes you can can.. well most of the news ones.. The reason you can, that most of the new copy machines/all-in-one printers let you do this is for copying tex/pic out of a text book. Just have the page you want copied on the glass face/text/pic down. and hit copy . Good luck and happy copying :)
