Q: HI, My printer is an Epson 6400. Regardless of program I am in, it acts like it is printing, the printer even makes the printing sound, but nothing comes out on the paper. I have done self tests, changed cartridges, nozzle checks, head checks. Has anyone had this problem. I cannot afford a new printer..
A: Micro Screens causing problem with internal print head with two micro screens. The ink flows through the micro screens with no problem but the ink slowly deposits on the screens causing restricted flow to clogging. These printers have so many issues and waste so much ink to keep the micro screen clear. It that clogs then you won't seen any printing done. I know you said you couldn't afford another new printer but it would cost you more to fix the printer then to have it replaced. Whatever you do don't buy Lexmark color printer. HP are the best one on the market place. I also repair printers. Ink jets ones like what you have don't waste time on repairing. Your problem can be fixed -- prior using cleaning cycles each time you use the printer ( uses lots of ink ). The other problem is storage. If these printers are not used daily again the ink drys and their goes the micro screen. Epson uses chips on each cart to block you from using ink filling kits. HP doesn't do that.
