Q: I just bought a new tri color ink cartridge for HP deskjet 3915 but it will not print color, only black. I have windows Vista. Could this be the problem? Also I one time changed the printer settings to print in greyscale but I have since changed it back. What is the problem here?? Terribly annoying since I am trying to print important flyers but can't!!!!
A: well the problem shouldn't be in windows vista, as i have it too, but my printer works fine.....try uninstalling and re-installing the printer using the instilation software that came with it if you still have it. and also make sure that the cartridiges are placed in properly....sometimes they can be out of place, and you won't even know it! if all this fails..try playing with the controls...make sure that all the settings are correct....it might have been that when you set it to grayscale, and then set it back, it never responded to that command.
