Q: I am looking to buy a good photo printer that can print lots of pictures everyday and yet has a low ink cost. what would be a good printer???
A: Epson CX8400 ($60 at circuitcity.com with free shipping) has scanner/copier function, does amazing prints and you can get a whole set of 5 cartridge PLUS an extra black for $25 at http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp If anything goes wrong with the printer, Epson will express-ship a replacement and pick up the old one. Of the 100 Epson printers owned between myself, family and friends, one needed replacement and it was done by the second day. If you want even better photo quality, look at the RX595 (it was $99 at epson.com recently) which uses 5 separate colors plus black and also prints on DVDs. You can also find the highly rated R280 and R380 for about $60-$70. They are very similar to the RX595 and use the same inks. You can get the entire set of inks plus an extra black for $32 at ccs-digital.com
