Can a laser colour photo printer use glossy photo paper?

Q: I do a lot of family photos and find cartriges expensive

A: It depends on the printer and the paper. Some of them will melt in the printer and possibly damage the drum. I havent seen a toner-based printer which can even approach the photo quality of an inkjet. But there are plenty of services on the net which print photos for ten cents each and some even give you the first 50 free (look at shutterfly.com, york.com, snapfish.com)
