Q: What do you/they use them for when printers and computers are more effecients? Are there different reasons for different people as to why they bought typewriters?
A: Typewriters and dot matrix printers can make duplicates forms but laser and inkjet printers cannot. Also obsolete equipment can be exported to third world countries which find that they are novelties. Personally I am mesmerized by the tic tac sound of typewriters which is inspiring like the whistle of a steam locomotive. For old times' sake. Don't sneeze at old-fashioned things. Farmers' method of cooking is better than fast food, microwave, additives or processed food. Coloring, caramel, artificail sweetners, nitrate and msg are harmful.
