Q: I bought new ink cartridges yesterday and installed them correctly. Now, my printer is acting weird. It used to print fine, but now, red prints as yellow, and black prints with streaks, or it just prints as a blue outline. I believe it is the printers fault, and I've done everything to fix it, but I don't know what's wrong. No, there is definitely magenta installed in the magenta slot, I tried two different magenta cartridges, and neither of them seem to work. Could my printer be broken?
A: Your magenta is not working. It's either: -a bad or dried out cartridge -you forgot to take the tape off the top. it covers an air hole. if air cant get in, ink cant get out -a clogged print head. Did you try running the cleaning? Your black looks like it could use some, too. If you get it working, try http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp for cheap cartridges which work well.
