Q: I work for a Steel Company based out of Portland Oregon as an I.T. and am having some trouble fixing a certain finicky printer. It's a 1998 IMB Network 24 printer. On the display screen it says "44 IPDS Option Error" I checked into it and what I found out was that the IPDS Simm needs to be reinstalled, I was wondering if any of you out there can help me out with some information on this subject. -erik s.
A: Most likely the simm needs to be replaced not just reseated. It could also be the formattor pwb. I do not know of a service center in Portland for IBM.
